Using the beautiful fairytale from the Grimm brothers, Briar Rose, to display / / Playfair Display / /. This typeface can be found for free on Font Squirrel. It was created in the summer of 2013 by: Claus Eggers Sørensen.
Project was to create a booklet of at least 12 pages displaying this typeface in an artistic form. I chose the fairytale Briar Rose by the Grimm Brothers because I felt that the way the story flowed and felt linked with the style and feel of the typeface itself.
When creating this short booklet, all designs were created with characters found within the typeface itself, no items were created with Illustrator or Photoshop. They can all be found in typeface library and have been placed throughout the story within the layout to show not only the characters of the typeface, but also the extra ones that are not used everyday.
